I’m a social media influencer and enhancer, blogger and reviewer, theatre and book lover.This is where you’ll find news and reviews of what’s upcoming and current in the world of Jozi Theatre, some foodie reviews, news of what’s happening on the Jozi Lifestyle scene and just possibly, occasionally something slightly out of the ordinary!

I’ve been blogging for a couple of years now, and the journey’s been one of discovery and growth. Mostly though, it’s been one through which I’ve been able to evolve into the type of blogger I want to be. I’m still learning – one should never stop! But I’m enjoying each and every experience

So, I’m often asked … why ‘Glitter & Toast’? I like glitter, and I’m a firm believer in those sayings: ‘Leave a little sparkle wherever you go’; ‘Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle’ … you get the idea! Everyone needs a sprinkling of glitter in their lives, whatever form it comes in, whether it’s a big, bold statement, or just something slightly different from your ordinary everyday. Too many people are stuck in a rut, unable to see their way out, too busy relying on others to do it for them. You have to make your own glitter! And the ‘toast’? No matter how brightly we sparkle, we need to stay true to ourselves and we always need to remain humble and grounded. Cervantes said (in Don Quixote), “All sorrows are less with bread.” Toast is just bread … with a little added zing to it!

I love working with brands that are dynamic, open-minded, forward-thinking and who are unafraid to break the mould. I live-tweet from all events I attend and love contributing to the creation and increase of brand, product and event awareness. It’s vital for companies to understand the powerful effect that social media has on influencing opinion today. Even more essential is the use of the correct influencers to create the desired positive market impact.
