A sweet serenade by international star Calum Scott on The Bachelor SA

The Bachelor 14

Lee Thompson, South Africa’s most eligible bachelor, is pulling out all the stops on the local reality dating series The Bachelor SA. This week, Lee revved up the romance by inviting international singing star Calum Scott to serenade the eight remaining ladies of the mansion. The UK singing sensation brought the ladies to tears as he sang his hit single you are the reason. “He looked each and every one of us in the eye and sang to us,” said an enthralled Michelle.D. The ladies were overwhelmed with that loving feeling and left in awe.

At the mansion, Calum also read the next date card, which was an invitation to a one-on-one for Jenna! The online fitness coach was invited to a special date in the very intimate and personal setting of Lee’s penthouse at the Legacy Group Michelangelo Hotel. She is the only lady to have seen where Lee spends his time when he’s not at the mansion. Lee impressed her with his culinary skills, and the evening was filled with spectacular views, laughter and wine… and the end of the evening a diamond necklace from Jack Friedman and a beautiful red rose! Having come out of her shell, Jenna definitely left a lasting impression on Lee.

Lee also planned an epic adrenalin-pumping group date this week, to see how far the ladies would go to “fall” in love. Joining him on the date were Michelle.D, Gina, Edith, Michelle.R, Jacqueline and Nontombi. Jozaan was quite concerned about being left out of the lovers’ leap with Mr Right – a skydiving adventure! It was Nontombi’s bubbly personality that won her one-on-one time with Lee – a sunset picnic in the bush, where they got to know each other better – which was all Nontombi had hoped for.The Bachelor 13

At the rose ceremony, with only five roses to hand out (the first had gone to Jenna), Lee decided to send sassy lawyer Edith home as he felt that she started to withdraw.  Online boutique owner Michelle.D, the only lass from the remaining ladies who had not received one-on-one time, also had to go.

The situation  is definitely heating up as each of the six remaining ladies have established a deep connection with Lee. It’s only a matter of time until the kumbaya vibe comes to an end…
